Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Zzppy, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement.

2. Description of Service

Zzppy is a bookkeeping application designed for Dutch ZZP'ers (freelancers / sole proprietors). It provides invoice generation, expense tracking, BTW-aangifte summaries, and document storage to help manage your business administration.

3. User Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into Zzppy, including business information, client details, invoices, expenses, and uploaded documents.

By using the service, you grant us the limited right to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

5. Accuracy of Financial Data

You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy and completeness of all financial data you enter
  • Ensuring your invoices comply with Dutch factuureisen (invoice requirements)
  • Correctly applying VAT rates to your invoices and expenses
  • Filing your own BTW-aangifte with the Belastingdienst
  • Maintaining adequate records for the required 7-year retention period

6. Disclaimers

Zzppy is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Important:

  • Zzppy is a bookkeeping tool, not a licensed accounting or tax advisory service
  • BTW-aangifte summaries are informational aids — always verify with your accountant or the Belastingdienst
  • KOR eligibility and application is your responsibility to verify
  • We do not guarantee the legal sufficiency of generated invoices for all circumstances
  • Consult a qualified accountant (boekhouder) or tax advisor (belastingadviseur) for professional advice

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch and EU law, Zzppy and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Financial losses resulting from incorrect data entry or calculations
  • Penalties from the Belastingdienst arising from your tax filings
  • Loss of data beyond our reasonable control

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed, subject to the 7-year fiscal retention requirement for financial records under Dutch law.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via email or platform notification.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands, unless EU consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
